Way Late Play Date

Ever since I moved to Nashville, I have always wanted to go to the Adventure Science Center. I finally had my chance last night during their Way Late Play Date. The Adventure Science Center kept the center open late and sold tickets to adults to come and play in all the exhibits. With admission, we got food and drinks and lots of fun.

We played with the age machine (I am not posting pictures of that... so weird) and we also got to go on a moon walk. They strapped us into a machine that made us feel like we were walking on the moon.


My favorite part of the night was the planetarium and laser show! I will definitely be coming back for that!

It was such a fun night! So glad to have the opportunity to finally go!

American Honey

It's only Tuesday and I have already had two very bloggable (is bloggable a word?) things happen this week!

First, Mom and Dad came to Nashville to visit me and Paul McCartney. They had a great time at the concert, and I had a great time visiting with them. I also love it when they come in town and we can try new fun places to eat in Nashville and hang out. It was such a quick trip for them, I wish they could have stayed longer. But we always have fun when they come to visit. Love them so much.

I also had a fun celebrity sighting at church on Sunday! I sat by Dave from Lady Antebellum! I WAS SO EXCITED!! But as most of my other celebrity sightings here in Nashville, I silently freak out and TRY to act cool. Especially in church. I was so excited during the "greet your neighbor" time of church. I LOVE country music and my summer soundtrack has been Lady Antebellum. They are my favorite country group. If you don't know who they are, go get their cd now! I have included a picture below of the group Lady Antebellum. Dave is the one on the left. And I would also like to point out that I think Charles (on the right) looks just like Adrienne's fiance Trey.

Marcy's Wedding

I love my friends. I love weddings. And now I can add to this list that I love Union City, TN.


I just got back from Union City for Marcy and Marshall's wedding. It was such a fun wedding and such a fun weekend. At one point during the weekend, I looked around and felt like I was on Spring Break again! It was SO MUCH FUN!!

I got there Friday night before dinner. It was a sweet dinner and I loved hearing stories about Marcy.... especially how Anna and Marcy became friends years ago!! Friday night after the dinner, we somehow all made it over to the 24 hour driving range right outside our hotel. Such a fun memory!
Saturday morning we got up and had a picnic at the Barnes House. It was a HOT and steamy day, but the picnic was so fun. I also loved finally getting to see the Barnes' award winning backyard.

Saturday after the picnic, we spent the rest of the day in the pool. I was so happy to be with all of my friends.

Marcy and Marshall's wedding was just amazing. The ceremony was so sweet and Marcy looked AMAZING!! The reception was SO much fun. I went crazy taking pictures. I tried not to include TOO many!!

This is not my favorite picture (Mark loves to zoom in), but Anna reads my blog and I wanted to give her a shout out! I had so much fun with Anna and her parents this weekend! :)
Lindsey came from Memphis and I was SO happy to see her! She didn't bring the boys (Pete, Hobson, or PJ) so she just made a quick trip. It was short, but sweet!

Must be summer

I love making lists. This is my "It must be summer" list.

• There is nothing on tv. Therefore I am currently watching the Home Run Derby
  
• I can hear the summer thunderstorm beating down on my roof
• I started Summer School today (and hopefully my LAST summer school class ever! woo)
  
• No matter what I do or how hard I try, my hair keeps getting bigger and bigger in the humidity
  
• We are in the heart of wedding season I can not wait to see all my friends this weekend!

I love summer.

This weekend reminded me how much I love fireworks! I got to enjoy some great fireworks at the Sounds game on Friday, my neighborhood on Saturday, and also downtown Nashville on the 4th!

Trey was so excited about the fireworks, he jumped in every picture I tried to take of them!

The fireworks were awesome, but none will ever be as good as Boomsday! I am already looking forward to it!
