Senior Survivor

Brentwood Academy starts every year with an event for the seniors called Senior Survivor. The senior parents are in charge of the event, and for the past four years BA young life leaders have led the games. It is an amazing day that really bonds the senior class.

It was such a great day and a fabulous event!! But it was also in the middle of the heat wave so it was about 110 degrees. You can tell by these pictures that we are soo gross.

We had lots of fun events for the seniors like cricket spitting, dizzy bat race, egg toss, etc.

This year was really special for me because I have been walking with these girls since their freshmen year. I can't believe they are seniors!! Crazy!

Surprise!

I had the sweetest surprise on Friday that MUST be blogged about. I was sitting at work on Friday, very sleepy from our company picnic the night before, and in walks my Brother-in-law. I was surprised to say the least since my brother lives 9 hours away in Northwest Arkansas! Kory had been traveling for work and was flying out of Nashville early Friday morning and stopped by to say hello to his favorite sister-in-law (sorry if Jennifer is reading this!). He also won over extra points by bringing me starbucks.

I was seriously SO shocked and just so happy I cried a little. I have the best brother-in-law ever!

First Day of School

Today was my first day of my internship at Moore Elementary. I will be spending the fall semester at Moore, and then I will be placed at a high school for my final semester in the Spring (HOORAY). I was talking to my sister Amy today, and she inspired me to take first day of school pictures like we used to growing up. After seeing Kaitlin's first day of school pics, I got really into it.

Yes, I am wearing a backpack. No, I did not actually use this backpack at my internship today. It just made the picture better.

Bieber Fever

Yes, I went to the Justin Bieber concert when he was in Nashville last week.

I went with two of my (very excited) Young Life girls.


We all had such a great time. I have to admit, I enjoyed it almost as much as they did!

School friends

It's been a very busy week. I finished my summer school class this week, and things always get really hectic at the end. To celebrate the end of our class, some girls in my program met for breakfast at Pancake Pantry! We have had all of our classes together, and have been such a great support. They truly are a blessing to me and I love spending time with them (especially outside of class)!

We had the best time talking and hanging out. And we got to enjoy the company of their daughters. We had so much fun!

Rock the Vote

Tonight I went to a viewing party for the TN Governor's Primary race. I always love watching the results come in on tv, but being there in person is so much fun! And it made it more fun that my viewing party turned into a victory party!

I love this picture for a few reasons, but if you look closely, you can see Glee on tv in the background! Even better! (Really they had all news channels on tvs as the numbers came in... but so fun).

Now we continue on.... there is a lot to work to do before November!
